Read the file's own installation method
Check the description, required game build, dependencies and removal instructions. Do not copy a generic Unreal Engine folder recipe onto a file that specifies a different method.
- Open the Nexus directory and select a file for this exact game.
- Read the description and recent compatibility reports before downloading.
- Back up saves and any files the mod replaces.
- Install using the author's instructions, making one change at a time.
- If the game stops working, remove the change using its uninstall instructions and follow PC troubleshooting.
Mods versus trainers
Texture, interface or localisation files can work differently from a trainer that changes values while the game is running. See trainers and cheat tables for that distinction.
