What I checked
Both snapshots were fetched on 14 October 2026. A critic aggregate and Steam's user-review classification should be read separately; this website does not add a house review score.

GamesRadar+: strengths, drawbacks and who it suits
In his 8 October 2026 PC review for GamesRadar+, Oscar Taylor-Kent praises the game's treatment of consent and control, its connection to the novella and early films, and the Cenobites' unsettling presence. He also highlights satisfying Genesis Configuration powers and inventive Labyrinth exploration. Our editorial reading of those strengths: fans of Barker's original stories who want a brisk, narrative-led horror adventure have the clearest reason to try it.
Taylor-Kent's GamesRadar+ review also describes weak impact in melee and gunplay, less engaging sewer and forest stretches, uneven bosses and awkward instant-failure stealth. Its extreme gore is another potential barrier. Based on those criticisms, players seeking forceful combat, extensive exploration or gentler horror should approach cautiously. This audience recommendation is our interpretation of the named review, rather than a hands-on verdict; check the content guide and demo before buying.

Questions
Does a Steam rating equal a Metacritic score?
